Janet is a chartered accountant, qualifying with Deloitte Edinburgh. Janet had an extensive career in NHS Finance working for Redbridge Healthcare, South Essex Health Authority and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Janet has held several Non-Executive Director positions in the last 20 years, primarily as Audit Committee Chair.
Janet was the interim chair of the Essex Partnership Trust (EPUT) and was the EPUT Non-Executive Director representative in the Suffolk and North East Essex system since 2017, before joining the Suffolk and North East Essex ICB Board in 2023 and the Norfolk and Suffolk ICB Board in 2026.
Janet also volunteers in school governance. She is a member of an Academy Trust with schools across Essex, Chair of a Secondary School and a committee member of the Essex School Governors Association.
